Y Partners Annual Support Campaign

Donate Securely Online >

Each year, the YMCA raises funds through our Y Partners campaign. These funds stay in our local community, to address critical needs and provide scholarships so that no one is turned away from the Camp Warren experience due to financial need.

Camp Warren has been creating transformational experiences for more than 80 years. In 2009, more than 1,000 campers came together to laugh and share, to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones, to learn from nature and its challenges, and to grow as individuals, as families and as a camp community.

The funds raised help us to:

  • Offer camperships to low-income youth and families
  • Purchase essential program equipment and supplies
  • Provide quality training programs for camp staff
  • Enrich every camper's experience to keep YMCA Camp Warren available to everyone

Many of our campership recipients have never been on a family vacation, paddled a canoe or ridden a horse. At YMCA Camp Warren, we provide opportunities for new experiences in a safe, nurturing and respectful place. In 2009, 100 of our campers received substantial financial assistance. We awarded camperships to qualifying applicants within our available resources.

The Y Partners Annual Campaign is run primarily by volunteers who give generously of their time and passion. Contributions are recruited in person, by phone or mail.

Did you know?

  • We had 822 summer campers and 240 family campers (hailing from 20 states & five countries)
  • 18 more campers came to Warren in 2009 than 2008. Not bad in this economy!
  • We graduated 28 CITs who have strong potential to become staff members
  • Facility improvement projects included: Winterization of Cub row (can now be used year round), renovation of Cub 6, log restoration of Homaji Lodge and lakeside staircase and a new Silha deck and mudroom. On deck for 2010: a new program center built in place of the Arts & Crafts building.
