Traditional Camp (ages 7-16)

Traditional camp includes all of the activities you expect to find at a summer camp, including: archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, tennis, sailing, swimming, wilderness exploration, high ropes course, drama/theater and much more. Campers choose four activities to participate in over the lenghth of their session. During this time they will follow a skill progression in their activities, thereby gaining exposure to new activities or continuing to develop skills.

Horse Camp (ages 7-16)

Warren Horse Camp gives campers the expereince of "owning" their own horse. Activities include grooming, bridling and saddling, western riding techniques and safety around a horse. This program is designed for beginners as well as more advanced riders. There are plenty of opportunities to ride in Warren's riding rings and beautiful nature paths.

Fishing Camp (ages 7-16)

If you're anxious to catch the elusive General Sherman, this emphasis camp is for you! Campers will have the opportunity to use two activity periods per day to navigate the shores of Half Moon Lake in hopes of reeling in a lunker. Participants will also have an opportunity for a fishing field trip off camp.

Sailing Camp (ages 7-16)

Sail with us on Half Moon Lake for two activity periods a day! The Half Moon Yacht Club is a long-standing tradition at Camp Warren. The privacy of our lake provides ample opportunity for extensive sailing lessons incorporated in our skill progression program. Sailing instructors work with campers on basic and advanced sailing techniques, equipment care, tipping and safety procedures, and individual goal-setting. The days are warm and the winds are plentiful!

Archery Camp (ages 7-16)

With improvements planned for the range and plenty of new bows and arrows, you won't want to miss this opportunity to spend two activity periods a day working on your accuracy and gaining ranks such as the Bowman and Master Archer!

Short Border Canoe Trip (grades 7 & up)

Come dip your paddle into crystal-clear water while gliding past majestic pines in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! On this beginning to mid-level wilderness canoe trip, campers learn the basics of wilderness canoe-tripping and minimum-impact camping. Campers begin with in-camp preparations before their 5-day trip to the BWCAW. The remainder of the 2 week session is spent doing traditional camp activities. This is a great preparation for longer canoe trips.

Invitational Trips

Once again we will be offering 50/50 sailing adventures and Long Border canoe trips. Each of these expereinces will be by invitation only. If you wish to express interest in either trip, please call the Minneapolis Camp Center at 612-822-2267.

Counselor in Training (entering 11th or 12th grade)

Don't let the fun of camp end! Become a Counselor in Training (CIT). Camp Warren's CIT program offers a leadership development program tailored to campers who intend to become a counselor or youth development worker in the future. Incorporated in this continuous four-week program are lifeguard and CPR training from the American Red Cross, a camping trip and daily seminars covering a variety of topics pertaining to camp counseling.

Bridge Program (ages 7-16)

The Bridge Program is a three day program available to campers who wish to register for two sessions, creating a longer summer experience. In addition to camp activities, campers - along with experienced staff - have an opportunity to do laundry, go on a local field trip and relax around camp.

Family Camp

Camp Warren is more than just a summer camp! Bring the entire family up to Half Moon Lake and let our staff be your hosts for a long weekend getaway. You will have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities and relax in a beautiful North Woods setting! Family Camp weekends are held each Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend.
