girl return to camp

Come dip your paddle into crystal-clear water while gliding past majestic pines in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! On this beginning to mid-level wilderness canoe trip, campers learn the basics of wilderness canoe-tripping and minimum-impact camping. Campers begin with in-camp preparations before their 5-day trip to the BWCAW. The remainder of the 2-week session is spent doing traditional camp activities. This is a great preparation for longer canoe trips.  back to top >

50/50 Sailing Trip | Invitational Trip | Grades 9 & Up

The Fifty-Fifty sailing trip has been a long tradition at Camp Warren.  We are fortunate to be teamed up with Dreamcatcher Sailing, based in Bayfield, Wisconsin.  Here’s what they have to say about the trip:

Lake Superior, Apostle Islands sailing with a USCG Licensed Captain.  Warren campers and a counselor become the crew as they learn how to sail and handle the boat, anchoring or docking at night at one of the protected islands of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.  By day, they sail, swim, hike, and explore the sea caves by dinghy.  Dreamcatcher's boats are designed specifically for safely teaching youth groups how to sail Lake Superior and exceed all safety requirements.  Their professional staff has a 25 year record of safety with youth groups sailing on Lake Superior.  Campers experience all aspects of life aboard: taking the helm, plotting the course, raising the sails, cooking meals, and doing the dishes.  While the islands and clear water are stunning, the best part of the trip for most campers is living on a boat together as a crew as they meet the challenges of sailing on this inland sea.  Call 612-822-2267 to learn more.  back to top >
